Before connecting
- Run Flow Studio on Windows with an eligible Flow profile.
- Enable local API/MCP in Settings and create a separate key for this client.
- The client must run on the same machine. Do not open the port to the LAN or internet.
Connection information
Default local origin (use the current port shown in Settings): http://127.0.0.1:47831 Default MCP endpoint: http://127.0.0.1:47831/mcp Authentication: Bearer <your local API key> REST submission: require a unique Idempotency-Key Never put your Google password or cookies in a client config.
Use the address and key displayed by your app as the authority. MCP configuration differs by client version; consult that client’s official documentation before configuring it.
Recommended workflow
Prepare your prompt and owned references, submit with an idempotency key, read progress by job ID and retrieve scoped resources. Once Flow accepts a job, only reread/redownload that job—do not create a new generation to retry.
